Default fatboy stock height?

I have a 99 fatboy an it seems pretty low to be stock. does anyone know how high the frame is off the ground from the factory? When I stand it up to slide my harbor freight lift jack under it, it doesn't clear by a whole lot, prob around .5-.75 inches. I don't know what changes have been made, I'm the third owner...it rides ok but I'm considering a set of progressive front springs but I like the height it's at now an want to keep it. I also picked up progressive rear shocks but haven't installed them yet.

I looked up on line an it seems stock seat height is 26.8" so I will check that as a guide tomorrow.

I have a '96 Fat Boy and the Harbor Freight jack. The jack just fits under my bike, the rubber pads on the jack just barely touch the frame on the lower side with the bike on the kick stand. I'm quite sure that my bike is at the stock height.

Hope this helps.

Friend of mine has a 1994 and its been lowered 2 inches. My Sears red jack won't fit under it halfway if it's leaning on the stand. I don't remember for certain but I don't think we could get under hardly at all with the bike standing straight up. He's got a smaller jack meant for dirt bikes and such that fits but barely. I'll have him measure up his if you like.

My 98 has the same issue. I have to hold the bike upright and shimmy it under. I have the Progressives on the front and have them at a 1/2" over with 12.5 fluid oz in the legs..

Pretty sure it an oem thing...

cool thanks for the input. When mine is on the jiffy stand I have to raise it a little to get the jack to go under.

Granted they have a great low center of gravity which makes them handle petty good but if you put it deep into the corner it will drag your foot off the running board.
