I just didn't think anybody would have new OEM bags for this old bike. I thought all I would find is stuff in worse condition than mine, hence me looking at aftermarket or adapting 2016 bags which now have stiffeners in them.

When the new bags arrive, after I verify everything is as it should be, I think I am going to send them to Boss Bags to get the stiffener kit installed etc.

Here is the response from Boss Bags regarding cracking of the new OEM ones I have in order from Surdyke.

The new bags they offer for the 95 have use better plastic on them so you may not have a cracking problem with them.

has anyone tried a set of the switchback bags? probably hard to find a used set but they're smaller than the street glide bags but would look more in proportion to my softail.

Sorry to see the Heritage bags taking a dump on you. Out of curiosity (and no intention of hijacking the thread) when did MoCo get away from leather with reinforced riveted steel plate (on the inside) foH the heritage bags?

Just got an email stating they will not ship the bags until July 21. That is kind of disappointing. I just hope I am not waiting for nothing because quite frankly I didn't think they would still be available after all these years.

In case anybody needs help with this in the future, here are the part numbers of the OEM saddlebags. The Vikings are a lot cheaper, but not having a product in hand, especially for something priced so much lower makes me skeptical compared to the OEM bags are a known quantity.

Number Name Part Status Status Date QTY Price
90476-93 SADDLEBAG ASSY, LT Available 1 $341.70
90477-93 SADDLEBAG ASSY, RT Available 1 $341.70
