carb issue?
It's a shovelhead. Of course it has sat for a length of time. It goes with "shovelehead."
To check for an intake leak, do the old carb cleaner trick. Let it idle, spray a little carb cleaner around the intake seals and see if the idle changes.

It's running the correct split-clamps that you screw together.
Bike has been sitting idle for quite some time but the carb is a clean one from another bike.
Old fuel has been removed, new fuel is in.
I can't imagine it's an intake leak but will check for that anyway and will get back to you!

Don't know how to explain but they're the correct types.
Anyhow: it's fixed!!!
So, after taking in all your advice and opinions I took everything apart AGAIN and notices that even though the intake seals were new, they had in fact been leaking which I could tell by the burnmarks going through them!
So replaced those AGAIN, cleaned the carb AGAIN and...still the same problem.
Well pissed off I just started winding out the pump and...that cured it.
I had to give it ridiculous ammounts of fuel when blipping the throttle, but now it works!
Starts first time, runs good but I've no idea why the excessive pumpvolume is needed, especially since it's not running the smallest jets (.031 and .74)...

That and the proper clamps on the intake...two completely different types for O-ring vs Rubberband...But I ain't leading that horse No Mo!!!
Try... The oring clamps are generally just aircraft clamps
or sometimes the two piece type [which I used to like but, the quality has gone to hell]
While Rubberband Clamps Must be split type to work properly
Note the split in the middle of a Proper Rubberband Clamp
