Yep local much better. If your handy.....I have done my own in a few hours for less than 20 bucks. Brushes and bearing. Turning arm in lathe or a drill press will work.

Once upon a time, the only upgrades from stock were "all-*****" or "spyke"...both pricey.
Ultima copied the spyke design...while reducing the price. I have had very good luck with these starters. To get the most out of this starter you need to upgrade the battery cables and maybe the battery, depending on what you have. Once you hear how fast these starters crank compared to OEM...your only use for the stock starter will be a doorstop.
