Hello everyone-i was redirected here to ask my question-i have a 92 ultra classic that needs a rebuild-i found a 94 dyna motor ready to go. I know there are differences in the motors and primaries themselves but as far as mounting and running the 94 is it a direct bolt in? Would it be so for any evo 84-99?
Thank you.
Main evo differences were in the heads/breather portion of the engine. They changed to top breathers in the 92-93 years with some 92's having bottom breather heads. Everything else is the same.

As Griz said the '92 is a bottom breather and the '94 is a head breather.
Does the '94 come with carb and breather set up?
If yes then you're good but if not you're gonna have to ge them for a head breathing engine.
It does have the breather bolts on the head but no carb-can those breathers get capped with filters like a valve cover on a car or does it have to be recirculated?
Thanks for the replies everyone 👍

You can put a filter on it, route it to the carb, or just vent it to the air.
Whatever you want to do.
