Primary noise
I'll let the experts explain the process in better detail, I used a dremel to cut the old race off the shaft, I didn't have the right puller. You might as well replace the jack shaft seal while your in there too it's cheap.
Mine turned out to be the final drive belt. But I did oi mine all apart and changed out the inner primary bearing. To chance it I just used a socket and lightly tapped it out and made sure I had wood under it as a little cushion. To install the new one, I threw it in the freezer for a bit and then again lightly tapped it out. I have the transmission race puller so I didn't have any issues getting it off. I used a baker high torque bearing when I replaced it. I liked the baker bearing because it doesn't require a bearing race on the transmission shaft. Which have been known to walk into the transmission. Then you have to do a full transmission rebuild if it's bad enough.
