Score!
I got a 99 FXSTS at the dealer this week. It is blue and I could only find two tiny defects in the tins where a chip happened.
The Springer fork is pristine and the bike is set up just like I would do it.
It has a S&S teardrop intake and carb. There is 25K on the odo.
The reason that I got it is unusual. For the 75th Sturgis I got a 750 Street, rode 75 mph and over 750 (871) miles in one day, Stopped at a Dairy Queen on the way as it was their 75th also. It was my 75 th year.
Someone that learned of that stunt asked what was I going to do for the 80th
When I saw the bike at the dealer over the week end I found my answer.
I will go 80 mph, stop at the DQ again as it will be their 80 th. Since the ride is 861 miles I will have the required 800 miles in.The bike has 80 cu. in. and I will be in my 80th year.
The only thing is I need to make it to 2020.
My wife went along with my plan. AKA lunacy.
No picture yet as the dealer delivered it yesterday in the rain and it is still raining and turning to snow.
As soon as the sun comes out I will post a picture of that beauty.
The price for the clean low mile bike with many features? $6K. Some may think too much some may think I stole it. I think it was a bargain.
Spent the day with the one detail it needed. I did the rear spokes and it took many hours. They sparkle now.

You have a plan lol!
Don't worry what people think on your purchase, they ain't riding the damn bike. Use a mental image of their faces and smile bigger when riding that bike down the interstate on the way to Sturgis.
Remember the Evo section motto: "We love to spend other peoples money" tell us what we need to do to the bike

I sincerely don't understand the sentiment other than you got a smoking deal. The big IF would be if the bike is in terrible mechanical condition. 25k on a last year Evo, I know fxr2,3,4, springer for $6k.
Post up pics, OP.
Congratulations!
