Got in a 65 mile test ride today before the rain started. The bike tracks and rides well. It did a credible job on the crappy Illinois roads. There was 20+ cross winds. It started right up and when warmed up had a nice idle.
Only two things came up during the ride. The right turn signal indicator in the console is out and I need to adjust the apes further forward.
I had gone through all the fasteners in the past two days and found a couple of them needed tightening.
Not bad for a 18 year old bike with 25K on the odo.
Rode it at 60 mph as the speed limit on local roads is 55. Found out the brakes are weaker than the current four piston brakes. Acceleration from 55 in fifth gear is weak but I am used to 110's and 120's.
It will need new tires before the big ride but there is time for that.
