As it should be.

Get the '95.

I apologize for bringing up the "twinkie" in the Evo community. The deal for the '95 is in the works. I'll post photos when the deal is done.

No apology necessary.

You'll be happy with your choice.

I had a sh*t pile of twinkies my first was a 2000 Eglide my last was a 12' FLHX I've lost count of how many in between, never again. I DO NOT like any motorcycle with ridiculous amounts of electronic crap on them, screw me once shame on you HD I take responsibility for the others. The only other bike I would still like to own is an FLHS, EVO powered of course. Mike

I love my OLD EVO FXRS, but the wiring is a b!tch! I am contemplating trading my 2015 SGS on another EVO just so I can do most of the wrenching.

Regardless of the age of your FXRS you can update the wiring harness rather cheaply. There's some nice harness's that update the turn signals as well to even accept Led...... Win Win........

I have a '94 WG and love it.. Great bike, fun, sexy bike to ride. In all fairness, I ride my bagger more. But that has nothing to do with it being an EVO.. Both are.. Its a '95 Ultra classic that I was simply "ok" with until I dumped the EFI for carb. I work in the automotive industry on current technology, so I'm not intimidated by the electronics as much as just dont want them on my bikes. The bagger was a decent ride and trouble free electronically when I decided to convert it. It ended up being cheaper to convert the old MM EFI to carb than to modify it. So, I did.. It was the absolute best decision I have ever made with the bikes. It now has character, I call it a soul, that I've yet to find on any EFI bike. The sound and feel changed like night and day. The twinkie can make more power and instantly start with a push of a button in all weather, but it also has more moving parts and electronic controls that cannot be diagnosed on the road if you happen to be traveling. Most of us just want the simplicity and reliability of the EVO. You'll like either bike, but I believe you'll feel more of a bond to the EVO..

I phoned a Harley dealer today in Canada, and I asked what % of OEM parts can I get for a '95 Dyna, but they wouldn't tell me. I don't want to buy it if I can't get parts. Would most parts be available in the USA? Thank you.

Hell they probably don't know.

So far I have had very few problems finding parts for either my '94 or my '95.
Between the dealer and aftermarket you can get anything you want for that '95.
E-bay is also a good source for parts.

I've had my 1996 FXDL, almost 6 yrs now & have got, & can still get, any part I need to keep it on the road.
May not be OEM parts, but I use mainly aftermarket, whenever I can.
Just as good, if not better , in most cases.
Wouldn't think twice about getting on it & going cross country .
Very dependable & a hell of a lot of fun.

Ride Safe,
Harold
