Currently not enough cranking pressure but things are underway to solve that.

It's the roll on at hwy speed that I don't think is strong enough.
A set of SE heads on stock pistons ups the compression to around 9.4 and coupled with a nice cam can make that 80"er really scream. We did that to a 98 dresser before we ran across another 113" to drop in it. Ran really nice though.

Right now I'm thinking the EV 3 or S&S 510
The EV 3 has higher TDC lift which means it gets more air/fuel into the combustion chamber each time.
S&S 510 had really good numbers.

Like I said still thinking.
I have a couple months to make a decision.

Look up the numbers of a Mackie 580, high lift, longer duration, quick intake valve closing Hmm? Lift and duration of a higher rpm cam but intake closing of a compression builder. Gave my buddy the cam to put in a 80" 10-1 engine and it is a runner, it will embarrass some big engines

Trying to stay with the bolt in cams.
I figure less strain on the valve train is a good thing in the long run.
