Wet an ol Tshirt down real good. Lay on bugs let set 2-3 min.

When camping I slide a ol tshirt over the windsheild if expecting a heavy dew over night.

Wet a microfiber towel, wring it out, then heat in a microwave. The combination of heat and moisture will melt the bugs off without expensive or harsh chemicals.

Laugh if you will, but I've been using Pledge for years now. It works for me. Doesn't hurt the windshield or the paint, it makes it more slippery for the next group of Kamikaze bugs.

This would NOT be an approved use for the magical, mystical, mysterious engine elixir.

The trick is to reconstitute them. Think you get a lot of bugs on a bike. Try an airplane that's doing a constant 140 mph. I use distilled water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist the bugs.Than a spray of distilled water with a few drops of dawn dish detergent soaking down the windshield pretty good. Than I use my hand to wipe them away. Than a rinse with the distilled water spray for a rinse. While its still wet I spray on some turtle wax spray wax detailer, and dry with a cotton towel. 10 years and the windshield still looks like new with 0 scratches.

I use the cheap spray-on glass cleaner in a can from WALMART. Spray it on, it foams up. I wait until the foam starts turning liquid, then with a soft cloth, the bugs don't "slide" right off, but do come off easily.
