Finally changing to a CV. my only problem is how bracket #34 mounts to the engine?/ frame? I have the part but have no idea how it mounts. Any info and/or pics would be of great help. Thanks in advance.
I never had part #34, when I converted to CV on my 89 FLHTC.
I just found a spot for it in the horn bracket on the left side. Took a pic of my bike for you, so you will have an idea of what I'm talking about. Not sexy, but it works. Horn broke, haven't replaced it yet. :-)
Thanks Daven. I thought of doing the same but the cable runs into the intake manifold on a mock up trial fit. I'll go back and try that again and see if there's a way around that. Still would like to see how the stock bracket #34 fits. That bracket was not stock on my 89 but was on later Touring models.
Hopefully some one with a stock set up will chime in with a pic.
Thanks Rivercityslim for the pics. That's the correct stock bracket for the '89 and that's probably what I'll go with seeing as I have an '89 also. I was trying to see how a later model touring choke cable was set up with the afore mentioned #34 bracket.
