Yes true it will and I did do that but rear of fender bracket then misses the rear seat bracket by a mile. Looking at the photos above I see I can make a mounting bracket using the stock fender holes and just weld the fender bracket to it.

If it would work? could you make a bracket to mount to the springs and hold the seat and the springs so the springs would work together and still hold the seat?

I don't know, first bike with springs under the seat, looks like they support either side of the seat since the seat bracket supports the center of it. No reason not to build a different/better design though. Springs must have been for a hardtail maybe ?????

Think I saw a bracket like that in old motorcycle parts book that sold custom seats but never had one, wish I did on my old hardtail in the late 70s.

How long do I come back to this new guy area ...? Ok got a littlt time to work on the bike today. Jumped in a lawnmower battery hit the switch and have headlight, tail lights, no brakes lights foot or hand, no turns signals, no starter. Is there a fuse block under the tank or some place else ????

Welcome from Phoenix, might be a fuse block up front but I would check out the switches on the right side since the housing is messed up there may not be power to the start wire.
