Default Center stand

I'm looking into getting a center stand for Evo bagger ('89). I like the type that is mounted up front (see pic). I believe this was an accessory from Harley back in the day. May still be available with parts #. Does anyone have one? Know of one that is available? I only see new type of stand mounted front of swing arm for sale. Assistance appreciated.

99002-97A is the type of stand you're looking for ... BUT it fits 97 and later. I had the same type of stand on my 1992 FLHTCU .. so do some more looking ... maybe 99002-88c ... the last letter ( "a" .."b" .. "c" ) are generally running changes in a part

UL, looks like you nailed that part number. I wonder if the -97A will fit my bike. Sometimes the number changes doesn't make a difference. I know they relocated the oil tank in 97, but I'm wondering if the front part area changed on the frame, especially where it comes to mounting this stand. Any ideas?

Edit: looks like I will run into a snag. I'm running an oil cooler, and the front type of center stand will interfere; therefore, I'm done looking. Thanks. UL.

I think I remember something about a product called EZ Up or something like that.

EZ-UP doesn't go back far enough for his chassis

I have one on my 1990 Glide. I bought it many years later and it is quite likely that when introduced it retro-fitted our earlier bikes. It's called a display stand, but then so is the later rearward centre stand. There is a secondhand one on US Ebay, #401342180358. It's missing the vital mounting screws.

I bought mine new and it took a lot of effort to fit. Not surprisingly it is heavy and remarkably strong, so won't bend or flex while installing it! I had to use some spacing washers when bolting it up - the mounting lugs ain't going to 'give' at all when tightening the fasteners!

Thumbs up

I notice that the stand with the part number Larry gave is slightly different to mine. Mine has a fixed loop to toe it down with, while this one has a folding piece. That may explain the suffix A, or the later part number.

Breaking news - No it doesn't! Found the same one as mine, #99002-88C, again on US Ebay, #252977421926, this time a new one and complete. Snap it up quick Dave!

Thanks guys. I will have to look into it, as I'm afraid the stand will interfere with my oil cooler. I rather have the cooler, than the stand. Have to verify though.

Cool

An oil cooler can be relocated with minimum effort! Go for it.....
