I've been looking for something to make the clutch lever on my '93 FLSTC a little easier to pull. All I see are the old gimmicks that cause other issues like slipping and difficult clutch adjustment. Anybody know of anything new recently???
I've had my 1990 Glide from new and went through a similar exercise a few years ago and installed one of those 'easy' devices. I later replaced my original clutch cable for a Diamondback and the smoothness and lightness was such a dramatic improvement that I took the 'easy' thing off! So if your cable is old I recommend you start with a new good quality one. You may find like me that is all you need. If it isn't we can move onto the next improvement, of which there are several.
About 6 years ago I bought the extended ramp part to help ease clutch tension. A few months after that I bought an EZ pull cable from Barnett and the clutch pulled like butter.
I haven't had any problem with my clutch pack since and the clutch is still butter smooth.
I'll second Grahm's suggestion on the clutch cable. I replaced mine with a Barnett, and noticed a dramatic improvement. I do have a Burly sitting around that I never put in. I think they are teh same model for both of our bikes FLTRI for me) If you want it it's yours for shipping. I am currently in St. Pete, but I am in the process of a move, and i just packed it up yesterday. Might take me a bit to find it.

Thanks for the offer of the Burley. The general consensus seems to be to replace the cable so I'm going with that first. If it's not sufficient I'll take you up on the offer.

BTW, are you moving locally or far out?
Moving to Inverness, so far enough out not to be local, but still local enough.

Ditto. I replaced the stock unit on my '03 Heritage with an extended ramp set-up and what a difference between that and stock on the red bike...

Have a part name or # for extended ramp part you used?
