So I'm looking at a power increase. My bike has just a stage one air cleaner on it. I was thinking aftermarket exhaust but I honestly really like the stock 99 Heritage Springer exhaust look. Things that I've found comparable are 800-900 dollars.
So I'm wondering would slip on fishtails give me a boost? Would I necessarily need to go with an aftermarket exhaust to move to a different Cam? Looking at an ev13.
I find the acceleration is adequate one up but it needs a little more oomph two up.
Will I need a new ignition module with a different Cam?

1) No they won't
2) No you don't
3) While you don't need a new ignition module for a different cam I've found that running a Dynatek 2000P makes my bike way easier to start than the stock one.
As for cam choice what bike do you have??
The 13 is good for heavier bikes while the 27 is good for lighter bikes.

The bike is a 99 Heritage Springer. We ride two up quite a bit and aren't exactly small. So I was thinking that the ev13 maybe the better choice.
