I traded in a twin cam ultra classic...... I did find a low rider custom for sale at a local HD dealer, 32000 miles. If I give up drinking, I can have it........oh boy.

Guys, this is it... a1994 low rider custom. Harley didn't make many of these, I owned one, 1990. This one is a 94, 32000 miles. What are your thoughts on the mileage? Too high? Some pictures.

Mileage is fine.

How much are they asking for it? Don't get caught up in limited production numbers nonsense. As soon as someone says that, that should trigger an automatic response of "you are asking way too much"

True limited production numbers bikes lose their value as soon as they are modified, which this one has been, at least several times.

After picking up my Shovelhead last week and riding it for the last for 7 days and then getting onto my Evo I swear to God I thought that fat boy was an Ultra. Unbelievable difference, boy did I miss that Evo and didn't know it till I got back on it....

I had occasion to head to my local dealer the other day. (Buying some parts.)

Of course, the vultures can't leave you alone. Sales guy commented on my Evo, and asked me if I was looking to upgrade to one of the new M8's.

"Upgrade"?

Pfft.

I asked him how much cash on top of the M8 he was offering.

He gives me a confused look.

I tell him "I'm not kidding. How much?"

It is actually considered a low rider custom. Harley made them for about 4 or 5 years. It was a limited production run, probably because people didnt buy them up. The reason I purchased the low rider custom was It was the only used bike the dealer had on the floor, and I liked the color. I bought a 1990 in 1992, obviously used but this was when all Harleys were selling like hot cakes. Guys would buy a bike and turn around and sell it for thousands more than they paid. It was crazy back then. I happened to be in the right place at the right time and bought it. The bike im looking at here is a Low Rider Custom and they are very very hard to find. It was my second harley and i must admit, im feeling a bit nostalgic about it. The dealer is asking $4999 for it, I will offer them 4000, which i believe is fair. Plus, its getting late in the year. I have to ride it first, then convince the wife......

That is extremely low for a dealer price on an FXR in that good of shape. I'm surprised.
