Makes the back of your bike a mess and cakes your rear rim in grease.
pros
You can dial in your gear ratio waaaay easier and snapped chain is a 15-20 min fix belt is3-4 hr fix. But I have never snapped a belt even with 127ci
I won't have that much power either. Might be a good idea to keep the belt. Ive heard people say they feel more instant power but I don't think thats worth it enough.
I don't plan on racing competitively so I'm covered there. That is another topic I want to venture into. Im in the early phases in looking into Engine work for the FXR. Ive gotta pull the motor apart to replace all the gaskets so I figure might as well do other thing while I'm in there
Bought a Ultima 113" Black Gem for my FXR, beautiful looking motor, running not so much. Made it 8 miles, oil pump seized. It is under warranty and they sent a crate to ship it back, Ultima took it apart and replaced some parts,(not all I think they should have) and got it back to me quickly. We'll see if it lasts. S&S has had their problems, but their warranty is better, one reason maybe why they are almost double the price . Anytime motors are built on a assembly line there can be problems, my number came up.

That's good to know if I ever decide to replace the motor. That's crazy you only made it 8 miles
O.E. Engines are Available surprisingly Inexpensive... and the Quality is Much better than Chiwanese... IMO
'93 Engine [temporarily] in my '83 Chassis.. Been "touched" a small amount and Suits this well!! For Now.. especially considering what it costs to rebuild a Shovelhead these day!!!

If I did I would probably get a newer Harley twin cam rather then aftermarket. Till then I'll ride the hell outta mine till it breaks.
Not without plenty of modifications you won't..
Then it will loose all Collectability and you Loose again if ya try to sell it..
But... Been done, Go For it.. Makes Unmolested ones worth more everytime another one gets "Customized"
