All, I have a 1985 FLTC and I removed the tour pak and the chrome rack is still on. Is there a place that I can get a back rest (sissy bar) for this bike. I don't run it with the tour pak ever.

I just sold a backrest to another fella on an evo facebook group. Would have been *glad* to trade it for a tour pack! ;-)
You'll need to measure the distance between the fender struts and cruise ebay for a sissy bar that's the same width and then choose the height you want. It's all out there on Ebay...
or........
contact Mustang and ask if they can add the piece for the rear backrest to your seat.
That's where I would start. Corbin and Mustang still list seats for our older bikes. There was a kit for installing a passenger backrest on these bikes, I'm pretty sure we had an enquiry only a short while ago. Finding one may be possible, but just how likely that is I cannot be sure!
Another possibility is to investigate installing a later model qd tourpak rack, which can then be adapted to use a backrest. That hardware is more readily available. We have recent threads on installing the qd kit.
