I spent quite a bit more two years ago for my '96 Heritage that had 34k on the clock, and I haven't regretted it for a minute.

But then my buy/sell philosophy seems to be "buy high, never sell" when it comes to motorcycles, so I'm not a great one to be giving any advice...

The one picture shown looks nice.
It would require multiple pictures to really judge.
The front brake rotor does not look original.
Are those original rims?
The foot shift levers look angled rather high...did the owner ride with clown shoes?
Hows the speedometer? in 1997 and 1998 the LCD odometer had a tendency to get black marks in it..just the odometer...made it look like odometer was leaking the LCD juice, some units are really bad and make the odometer reading black-out.
Unless there is a misunderstanding on my part, something does not look right because it would appear there is a speedometer cable on the left front wheel axle hub.
It is my understanding it should be an electronic speedometer and not a cable speedometer based on year.
If electronic then speed is taken at transmission.
I would clarify due to mileage if speedometer was changed.
Look at this parts finder to review year, model and speedometer parts mentioned.
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche..../showmodel.asp
I would look at the engine guard mounting points for frame damage.
I would review the frame neck area, forks and rear swingarm.
In my opinion, just about any big twin EVO with a clean title and lower miles has a minimum price of about $5k USA dollars and then it goes up from that point.

Just an observation: Many have stopped here in Evoland to inquire about a bike that they are interested in. Quite often the bike is a gem and the price may or may not pass the "good deal" test. And then...............
the bike is sold to someone else who did not think twice.
Just an observation.
