Nice springers but on your paughco are the rockers running straight or on angle ? I was always under the impression that it always ran parallel to the axle.

If it helps, here are a couple of shots from my project bike.

I agree the one's on yours look pointed downward at a greater angle than you'd expect. Still, looking around the web, they seem pretty much all over the place. Some point up. Some point down.

It sounds like you had the dealer buy the fork from Paughco and install it. I'd make this their problem. Looking at the Paughco catalog, they sell springs in a number of different lengths. If you're not happy with the way this turned out, it seems like installing some shorter bottom springs will get you there.

I understand what you are saying, but my problem is that I had this done last year (had a heart attack ) I trying to get them to just get me just the info on how to fix this and find out what the specs are so my front end don't look like a dirt bike, from what I see if I straighten the rockers out wheel goes up fender goes down.... but I am not sure if that is the right way to do this.

not an expert of springer forks, but the two nuts under the front legs that hold the springs in place... But are they in any way capable of adjusting the rocker position by adding and reducing washers?
For instance, on my wife"s bones, it's clear to me that her springs are short, though they are stock. In their case, there are six washers at each end. I expect that helps compensate for the shorter springs.

Now I'm betting that if I was to remove these washers, tension would decrease and the axle would now be higher rather than where it sits now (horizontally). And vice versa.
The length of springs I expect are the major contributor as to why the rockers would rest in certain angles IMO

I was thinking that also,so I am going order a motion pro springer fork compressor tool and go by the specs set forth by Harley, and see how it plays out. If it works great if not somebody will have an idea.

Do you have any travel in your front suspension? The suspension looks fully extended. There should be a lot of downward travel.

Shock is correct. Springs look normal, although if the bottom spring was compressed in the middle a little more your rockers might be setting normal. The weight of the front end should of compressed the bottom springs.

That is my thinking also, and yes there is a lot of play in forks. When I lifted the bike and the wheel went down about another inch and a half, that much I know ain't normal.

adding a few washers under the nuts willcompress it andfirmitupsome. That in turn would raise the front legs upby the amount of distance the washers represent. Or at least in theory, that should do it

All I can do at this point is wait for the manual and get the spring compressor. disassemble and reassemble to what ever the specs are in the book. And I thought this was going to be easy fix

While you’re waiting, read this. Unless you already have...
