I while back I noticed a dent in my tank that I know wasn't there when I put the bike away for the winter.... I told my wife about it and she tells me I'm exaggerating or you're always thinking somebody's always f****** with your s***. Which I thought somebody really was. So anyways today I open the cam chest to make sure everything was right there. After putting in the oil pump and what not and everything was dead on. So I took all the pressure off the valves and also took the exhaust off and brought piston up to top dead center. Put my air hose to the cylinders and sure as hell air leaking out the exhaust valve so I took a peek down in there with a flashlight and lo and behold I got bent valves also. It appears without me knowing it somebody took my bike out and beat the s*** out of it over revved the motor smacked both Pistons with the valves. Fuc**** it all up...... Can you believe that crap unfuc**** unbelievable. What kind of ******** we got living in this world..... I hate long island. It's s true piece of **** place to live...
Hold on a sec... If I'm understanding you correctly all you did was add a new oil pump? Of course, part of this is removing the cam cover and pushrods. Did you accurately set the pushrods? Not too many flats. This sounds to me like the lifters are preloaded too much so your valves never close.
Also, how in the hell could someone take your bike out to beat the **** out of it without your knowing? Not to mention, all four valves are bent? The last time I had a piston hit a valve it was only the rear cylinder, then she stopped cold!
If, just maybe, the valves were Not adjusted Perfectly, and allowed to Bleed down properly in the Process [I always start with Compressed, empty lifters] the Piston will hit the valves that are left open in the adjustment [misadjustment] process..
seen it many times!!!
