It's not adjustable so if it's not smacking the cam gear you should be fine..... Honestly I never measured mine but I do currently have the cam chest open. So if I get a chance in the morning to check it out I will let you know...
Do you still have the Pushrods and lifters installed. Cause if you do there is still valve spring pressure on the cam and when you take the cover off the cam will drop down a little. Once you put the cover back on the clearance will increase.....
no i did not insstall the pushrod yet i just check de 0.015 for the cam and the small plastic washer for the breather i check the handplay for the breather whit the gasket and straight edge bar but for the cam i put the cover / gasket
There are graduated plastic washers available to adjust the breather endplay. My service manual calls for .001-.011 of endplay, but I know I've successfully run with more than that back when I didn't have the different washers available. I think once you install the gearcase cover and compress the gasket, .015 will be fine.

Thanks Uncle G, I totally misunderstood what he was saying. I thought he was talking about a gap between the Breather in the cam itself... I didn't know he was asking about endplay... Sorry my bad.....
