This came off my build and it's going back on. Doesn't look OEM.

Its to reduce vibration and improve comfort on solid-mount softails, so keeping it is probably a good idea.

Huh, no ****? A harmonic balancer, with a Darkhorse balanced crankshaft. I'm gonna be able to balance a smoke on the gas tank at 4K with this motor.

I had one on my Softail for a while back in the day. It may have smoothed the motor a bit, but you lost the compensator to use it, so, in the end, the ride was rougher. I ended up removing it.
