OK Evo folks...here's today's pop quiz.
The motor is a 1999 with about 100,000 mi. on it. NO changes or mods to the motor. I'm picking up a noise that I can only describe as "whirring" that I hear while the bike is in neutral, clutch is disengaged, sitting still, idling. The sound increases in speed as I rev the motor. Seems to be more right-side than anywhere. The bike runs great. Just got back from a little 400mi. hop with no problems, but the "whirring noise" continues.
Thanks.
Having a cam bearing grenade is bad do-do. Swap out the INA for a Torrington. And while you're in there swap out the lifters too. MAW upgrade to a better cam at this time.
