Default tappet screen location

I have a 1996 superglide. The oil change instructions say to clean the hydraulic lifter oil screen. The location described doesn't make sense -- "under the plug" ??
Can anyone tell me where it is?
Thanks.

I will copy a picture for you give me a bit. The plug/Screw you have to remove can be a pain in the but.

there's really no need to do that. if there's anything in there you have some serious problems.

it's the large screwdriver type plug next to the rear tappet block where the cone cover meets the case ... looks like the one on top of the oil pump ...

Make sure you get the right one. Yes clean it every couple oil changes if you don't want the engine apart fixing it.

You can replace the plug with a nice chrome plug for an allan wrench,no more removal concerns.

^This^ Screw (pun intended) that slot head plug, damn near impossible to remove. Get an Allen head or Socket head plug and make life easier.

If you get the right tool it's pretty easy to remove.
