Default speedometer,odometer

Curious if anyone knows if there is someone that services the speedometer for my style bike,86 wide glide. Speed works, odometer just stopped yesterday and that sucks because it's my fuel gauge.

I'm pretty sure one of us has posted about someone who does repairs - fingers crossed he passes by soon!

Google is your friend. I was surprised how many speedometer/odometer repair shops came up.

I have no affiliation, and no experience to recommend this one. But, as an example their site says they repair all kinds:

I haven't tried either of these but they look promising.

Same thing happened to my original speedometer about 3,000+ miles after rolling from 99,999 miles back to 00,000.

At that time I could still buy another OEM speedo, so I did.

Yeah so the average repair cost is about $200. Plus shipping fees. I think I'll just open it up myself and see what is going on with it.

I've used Bob's. They did a good job, turnaround wasn't bad.

So I have it ripped apart and it's not broken but there's a worm gear that is worn. I think I'm going to bring it to work and pinch ***** the ends of it and try to take out the play and move the two gears closer to each other and see if I can get them to stop slipping. It just might work.
