As you get into the world of collectors, people who want to appreciate the original uniqueness of an item...all those mods are worse than irrelevant, they decrease the value, especially so if they cannot be easily removed and replaced with OEM stuff.
could not agree more. If I were in the market of a classic, STOCK or as close as possible is the way I would be looking to go.

I had a guy that does nothing but sell used motorcycle parts tell me my FXR is worth more in Parts. He told me he is getting 3500 out of just the frame. 4500 for the frame and swing arm.

Yes, the Bad Boy is one of those bikes that says buy me, have seen them being pushed for $13,000 but in reality I have seen them cheaper than the one listed.

Now, that bike is in my area and easily obtainable for you, If you get a Bad Boy, really won't need a ***** because your going to be riding it or in the garage looking at it and will be happy, they make medication to kill the pain so a win win, your ***** will heal.

That Black Night Train is 10 minutes from my house, it is kinda cool also

I don't think the evos have hit bottom yet, you see high askin prices for the same bike week after week and no sales. But all bets are off if the moco moves off shore. BT flats, knucks, and pans are up but can still be found in ruff/modified condition for reasonable prices- parts usually worth more than the whole bike cost.

I have a mostly stock ‘97 FLHR in Mystique green, 94k on the odometer. I was at the local dealership to buy a couple oil filters. I was approached by a guy oogling my bike in the parking lot... he offered me 10k on the spot. When I told him I had all the stock parts packed away on a shelf at home, the offer went to 12k. Before leaving he offered to throw in a single “open” bike trailer.

I consider this an insane price for the bike and I was tempted, but I don’t really need the money at the moment.

I came home and went to searching CL and cycle trader... yep it’s an insane price!

Any thing is always worth exactlt what someone is willing to pay you for it. No matter what it is. My problem is I'm really good at buying HIGH and Selling LOW. See the problem with this picture? Actually I'm not good at selling at all. **** right now I have an extra bike, an extra boat and an extra golf cart that all need to go. I'm an idiot! Gonna work till I die.

I've actually been to that place. They've got a nice shop.
