Default Ignition question

Was given a Crane Hi 4 ignition system from a friend. Are these any good?

Can you run a single fire coil with a stock cam sensor and a SE race module? Will it run?
As long as the module you are putting in is able to work with a single fire coil you will be fine.
There are several modules out there that will run either single or dual fire depending on where you set the switch.

Been using the Crane Hi4 as a single fire with Crane's coil for many years, good unit, very reliable and multi adjustable.

Personally I think you would do better to get a Dynatek 2000p or a Daytona Twin Tec. JMO

I've got a Crane Hi-4 in my ironhead. No problems. I like it.

I love mine. If you are replacing the stock ignition it is way better. You got it for free, install it and see what you think. It can be adjusted very easily to suit your timing needs.

Yeah I did get it for free with coil. Need to find a install manual and schematic online and go for it.
