If you have access to the seat there is nothing to be lost in trying it out. Stranger things have happened than stuff fitting models that conventional wisdom says shouldn't work!
I have a 94 EVO
and have more kind of seats on it that people said would not fit.
Right now it has 2015 street glide seat. No problems what so ever
Some of the different ones I have had to talk them into fitting, but it was not monumental.
So if you are good with wrenches I would think it would fit....

When I got my '94 FXSTC it came with 3 different Twinkie seats and not one fit.
I am a bit of a manipulator and for sure not a perfectionist. (some are and that's their deal)
I have been known to take a heat gun to the plastic bases and reform them.
The last one I had to cut some lump off the bottom...can't remember what it was there for.
I guess the OP should just try it?
