In my mind a basically stock looking bike is not worth slaving over. I no longer find any sense of accomplishment in dicking around with a plain 'ole, nothing special bike. Nor would I spend the amount of money it would take to buy one that didn't need to be worked on all the time. If I had wanted to keep wrenching on bikes I would have kept the Shovelhead. That was something worth working on.
