I’ve been thinking of changing my ignition to one of the aftermarket ones and I couldn’t remember if I already had a Screamin Eagle one that I did twenty years ago, well I finally got around to looking at my bike and found that I did change to the Screamin Eagle, my question is, is the Dyna 2000 that much better, from what I remember the Screamin Eagle is basically just a higher rev limiter, but does it also adjust the timing.
I put in the ultima single fire kit thru amazon .I like it,gives you different timing settings and at $160 didn't break the bank. Also seems to start easier.
The Screaming Eagle module has a higher (or no) rev limiter and also different advance curves. It is significantly better than the stock module was. If a Dyna 2K is better, it won't be by much, but it has more curves available, if I recall, so you have more things to play with/adjust.

IMO it is but it really only affects one thing that the screaming eagle doesn't.
It makes cold starts and initial warm up much much easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My biggest issue is cold starts and warming up, thanks.

Based upon the information given in post #1, how do you know his ignition module has different advance curves? Couldn't he have a 32421-94 (SE ignition module) instead of a 32654-98 (SE selectable curve ignition module)?

I just installed the Dynatech 2000I on my '97 Springer. I can't believe how quickly it starts, cold or warm. Doesn't take nearly as long to warm up. It is pricey but the performance can't be beat IMO.
