Default Rear pulley

Working on my 1985 FXWG, Evo engine, 4 speed, rear belt drive.
Need part numbers for the rear pulley
parts book says 40221-85A but after some digging found that 40217-79A will also work. (I think)
Think that one number is for black other one is for silver. (Not sure)
Also found that maybe 40225-86A will also work. (Again not sure)
Hope this is not too much work figuring this out for you experts. Thanks a bunch

Be wary of pulley size, in other words the number of teeth. Check the link given above, to confirm tooth count, as there are at least three different sizes, as well as different finishes. It is normal and indeed wise to change front and rear pulleys and belt together - just a thought!

it is just good practice to replace fasteners that are under high torq and shear loads.
Everything wears out.
Their elasticity goes away and they shear off.
Plus, I am pretty sure there is an HD SB that says to do it.

Good to know.
FWIW I've been reusing mine for years without a problem.

It is just safer then shearing off a sprocket.
A lot of people do not how a bolt actually works
.It is not a dead static clamping force.
If we picture them as a rubber bolt that holds and moves a little
then we have a concept.
When the bolt dies and becomes that dead static force , then we get the problem, it "works" or shears off.
Most of us are familiar with head bolts and torq.
What we are doing is actually stretching the bolt as we torq it dwn.
When the stretch is gone then head gaskets start to leak, bolts break etc.
Those of us that are unlucky enough to work on the old 855 Cummins know all about busted head bolts
