man the front end gets light. Worth the $$.
left the 52 slow jet in. Will track down another carby.
went with a 200 main to start with. (Spanners recommended jet size.)
Got about a mile from home and it started coughing and spluttering (f#%@ bad thoughts running thru my head) did a uturn and got about 100m from home and ran out a gas... flicked to reserve and she took off again.
will get more gas tomorrow and try again.
true I, can understand the implications of doing that so have picked up a 2nd hand carby that's got a 48 slow jet and 170 main. Will swap to a 190 and leave the 48 and try the carby. Even though the 200 main feels gooood on the top end. No surging or slowing down with the take it to 60mph 3rd roll off throttle tuning way.
Swapped the carby over this morning. Used the needle and spring and 200main out of my cycle pro jet kit plus the 48 main from the new carby.
man the bike flys heaps of power all round.
Well, above 2k it starts.
I try and keep the revs above that any way.
bounced off the rev limiter a fair few times. Will get a new ignition next year to raise it up.
I do want to try a 195 main at some stage.
does anyone know about dyno jet d168 needles?. Was in the 2nd hand carby I bought. I took it out.
The recipe. So far...
SE Heads
.030 head gasket (approx 9.6/1 compression)
EV27 cam .55 shim
200 main jet
48 slow jet
Cycle pro needle and emulsion tube
SE hi flow filter
V&H Propipe
one happy evo rider now.
