I just went and looked in my FSM and it rates the compensating nut at 150-165 ft lbs.
I wonder why they changed the rating so much in just 3 years.
Yeah, I just rechecked mine and it says the same... Don't know where I got 160-210. Maybe I overlooked the crank pin @180-210.. I don't know but i will call S&S to make sure of their specs....

While I don't know what S&S wants I set the comp at 165 on my 111 and it's working fine.
Granted I use more than one drop of red lock-tight.
Bob, did you throw the indicator on both ends of the crank?
I know I would, just to see.
Actually I just did that this morning, not sure if I was supposed to put the torque on the timken bearing to stabilize the crank but without doing that I did get run out of .008" on the sprocket shaft and .0045" on the onion pinion shaft...
When I have the entire assembly balanced next month I will true the wheels as well...
By today's standards those are acceptable run out limits...
But you know me... I'll make it better.... LOL......
So I checked a couple of more thing's this morning to make sure I didn't have any issues once i start the swap... Checked the cylinder spigots and lifter blocks.... All that seems good. Also checked the S&S steel breather and I thought that fit was perfect.... The new case comes with the Koyo B-138 already installed and a Timken for the sprocket shaft. I also like the fact the the case has a drain plug in the bottom, just incase it does sump after a long sit, I'll be able to drain it... Most likely I will be using the bottom breather as well...Another thing I did notice (that I never caught before) clearancing the case to accept a lager lift cam. I didn't realize that it was necessary to remove as much as my builder did. When I first looked at my case on the bench, I said WTF.... check the pic... I thought it was way too much but apparently S&S does the same for the Evo cases to accept up to a .650 lift cam... I have to question whether or not it's a structural issue but after noting the S&S case, I guess it would still be a solid fixture for the pinion shaft bearing.. Moving on, I'm still looking for a good lifter that won't pump up and smack a piston... If anyone has any Ideas, I'd love to hear them... Thanx...
