Default 1990 FLHS Ignition System Replacement

Probably going to replace the ignition system in my stock 1990 FLHS. Looking for a simple, reliable and reasonably priced replacement system that will replace the entire stock ignition system including coils. Looked at some of the options, looking for personal experiences and satisfaction with your choice. Leaning toward dual fire for simplicity.

Thanks.

Frank

I really like the Stock system...and the ability to put different "modules" into it.
Look how long it has lasted!!!!!
Spend more to Get more maybe.

As I replied to the PM you sent it depends on wither or not you are keeping your stock cam sensor.

I had my indy install a Daytona Twin-Tec single fire ignition and high output coil with a EV-27 camshaft on my 1989 FLHS and it really helped my S/S Super B carb smooth out and added a lot of response and torque. It did change the sound of the potato/potato/potato at idle but other than that I am really pleased. Just my personal experience.

Daytona Twin Tec is also a good option .. I just found the Dynatec a bit simpler to set up ..

I have several Ultima ignitions, coil is the weak point if you get a Chinese one. Static timing is a breeze. Lots of flexibility.
