Ok, put about 100 miles on with the new bars and can only say I was floored with the better handling characteristics, clearly better than the beach bars in the control department and realized how much effort beach bars took. At first look it is easy to judge higher bars as lack of control, some friends and long distance riders with taller bars said I would like them and they were correct.
With the 16" bars handling improvement, JRI shocks on the rear, 1" lowered straight rate springs on the front and a softer Mustang Vintage Super Solo pretty much hit a home run in ride quality, the White Bike out shines the Road Glide and they are nice.
On the Mustang Super Solo has little back support but has more than the Corbin Hollywood that was on it but the Mustang is one comfortable seat on the bottom, a back rest would be the cats azz for long cruises to offset the lack of back support. Starting to settle in on the Mustang solo but clearly a different style of seat for those looking at one and the price is attractable

That was pretty much my experience when I first put 16's on my bike.
When I put the bars on my shovelhead from a 2013 Street glide for like 6 inchs taller I got to say I'm extremely comfortable and very easy to handle but I wouldn't know that right now cause Being grounded and reading how everybody's having such a great time it's starting to get to me especially after a six pack.. God I wish this surgery thing would get the hell over.. glad to hear the improvement suit you though bagger...

Those look bad azz!!
Never been a big fan of apes. Always thought they would be uncomfortable
as Hell. Never rode a bike with bars that tall.
But they really make the bike.
How did I miss this... love the new look, congrats !!!!!!!!!!
Well I guess your going to get to see a lot more. Took a long ride Saturday with the Shovel guys and on the way back had a truck with a 5th wheel trailer came across the line sending us into a brake check up and I went down clipping one of the Shovels. My 75 year old buddy stayed upright with minor damage to his Shovel and the White Bike suffered cosmetic damage going to need parts replacement and re-paint. Positives is after evaluation the old dude is ok, I lost some skin with no broken bones and the new apes didn't get a scratch on them, thankful for the crash bars keeping the bike off me and lessened the damage to the bike.
Started parts searching, going to start the tear down Saturday with a possessed outlook to get it back on the road, it was really enjoyable to ride with the new suspension and apes
