Default Swingarm replacement mount.....

Does it exist? All the aftermarket frames have a plate that's welded to the tubes to locate the swingarm. No way it could rust out! Has anyone EVER seen a replacement mount for the HD frame? I just think it would be a better "fix" for the frame rather than repairing the original mount.

The original OEM mount lasted 22 years. Less chance of misalignment? You are in uncharted water my friend, fair winds and following seas.

it's 32 years old and alignment should be easy...it's just math.

And that's how we got **** done with some basic tools and some ingenuity long before jig tables and all the high tech out today.

When you cut the old stamped mounts off inspect the frame tubing to make sure it isn't compromised too, rust was an issue on those.

I'll bet that the right side lower tube is junk...at least junk enough to not be able to weld a 1/4" plate to it. Not to worried about it....time I got alot of.

Well I was gonna say try Frame Man down in Sacramento but just saw they closed. Any frame shop should have or can make up pre made sections for frame section repairs. Do some homework, I'm going to have to now, that place was my goto for old iron fixes. Took a 65 pan frame that was pretzeled and it looked factory when I got it back several years ago, could not find a joint or odd weld on it .

Nice that frame "sections" are being Manufactured... Luckily I have always been able to find a Wrecked frame with the desired "section" so... I lean towards buying "Junk"!!!

I have Dr. John's in Anaheim if needed and I can always buy a "back half" if it's really bad.

Not really...talking with a frame manufacture to see if I can get their plate that they use on their replacement touring frame.....we'll see.
