Default Super E Question

Hello Folks. My 97 FLHT that has a new Super E Carb. Starts and runs great until it gets hot, then needs the enrichner pulled to keep running. I was careful installing the manifold with the intake gaskets from S&S (blue) . Could a leak in the vacuum line to the VOES cause this? I know I need to check for an intake leak, but I can't see how it would be leaking

Thanks

Do the wd40 or beaklean check on the seals and fittings. Everything may seem fine when tge motor is cold but aluminum grows a lot and may cause the leak then.

Did it ever run right? And "pull the enricher to keep running", do you mean to keep idling or to run at speed?

Sorry, Busy day at work. The bike starts right up with the enrichner on. Will idle and run strong with the enrichner off, until it gets hot, then starts to cough and dies. Wont start again til it cools down some. If I catch it before it stalls, it will run and idle with the enrichner lever pulled up 1/4 of the way.

I've checked the cam position sensor and it is not melted or leaking. The only thing I changed was the carb, so that's why I am thinking that's the issue.

Never ran quite right since I put it together, but it wasn't stalling at first. I have the carb set to the factory settings with e 295 and 72. This isn't my first Super E, just first on this bike

Try one richer on the intermediate and see how it changes.

Seeing as how the S&S E is bolted to the intake the top breathers are not important.

The carb is bolted to the manifold and the backing plate is bolted to the breather bolts. I’ll take any suggestions. I’ll hopefully get into it this weekend. Seems like I never have time to work on my own stuff.....
