93 evo
Cv issues. My float valve is acting up and lots of leaks. Looking to get a new carb or possibly rebuild it. But I don’t want stock. Looking for power since I’m gonna be working on it. Perfect excuse to do it. Any recommendations for performance

Prolly just needs the Float level set...A Stock 80 inch E motor can do a 14 Flat at Just a Buck... bone Stock!!!!

A carb swap isn't gonna do much if anything for power unless you combine it with a cam and a good set of pipes.
THC and Race already covered it.
Unless your plans are to take your Evo way, way, way over the top, your CV is all the carb you'll need.
Get a rebuild kit and a new needle valve. Polish the valve seat. Carefully set the float level.
Easy, peasy.

Take the float bowl off and look at the location where the float pivot pin goes through the carb body. My 90 was worn to the point where the holes had become elongated which was the cause of the leaks. I ended up finding a newer CV in like new condition and replaced the old one with the same carb. Need to move up one mid range jet but otherwise great.

Setting the float level can be a PITA if you’ve never done it before. In which case, you may need some coaching on the subject.
