Put this ignition in my 98 Evo tonight new VOES 6" of vacuum n set up w a single fire coil,no problems.
It was on the exhaust stroke TDC n I couldn't get the status light to come on till I figured this out. Got it static timed n gonna finish reassembly tomorrow. Ive also installed an ev 13 cam. Well thought I'd update.....I alway wondered what difference there was between dual and single fire n gotta tell ya I've got half the vibration I had w the stock dual fire ignition sooooooo smooth n she just purrs.
It was worth every cent I paid. Throttle response is crisp w improved acceleration.
I've done my homework, my own work and it's one hell of a nice machine now. Wanted to thank everybody that's responded to my posts you guys are great!!

I've got to finish up today the VOES has a weak ground and needs redone,It actually ran great w/o it. I'll update today after I button up the issue,I'm goin to swap out the vacuum petcock for a standard gravity feed one and run a single line to the voes.

If you end up noticing some pinging, don't blame the cam. The ultima has a pretty fast advance rise when compared to the dynatek. If you cant tune the ping out, then consider reprogramming the ignition using one of the dynatek 2000i curves.

I hope you don't have an issue, but just a heads up if you do...Dynatek curves are the top graph, Ultima curves is the bottom. I am running the Dynatek curve #3 with a VOES set at 6 and the bike loves it. YD

Yankee dog, I'm actually running it on the curve 1 setting n it shows no signs of detonation or pinging. Its smoother on curve 2 but it really pulls on curve 1.
