The magnetic portion of the drain plug came loose. It somehow worked itself loose....possibly taking damage from last month.
I didnt actually find it on the bike. I found it in the oily mess amongst Greasy tools. Sucker is quiet small.
Looked at the backside of the derby cover damage....it was definitely caused by the magnet. The impact was the exact same size as the damage. Same roundness....just identical.
Checked everything else....clutch was ok. Rode around for 30 minutes....everything was smooth operational. No leaks....
Ive heard of the magnet coming loose from others. I really think the backed out bolt from last month broke the magnet portion and it finally broke loose causing this to happen.
I reused the drain plug....minus the magnet.
It was the original drain plug and original derby cover.
