Default I figured it out!

I had the stalling issue with my V111 and figured that out with the ignition. The motor was still very hard to start and I would get starter stall.

I had a hunch that the acrs were bad. I called s&s and they said take it to a s&s approved dealer for repair. I didn't want to do that and be charged labor for something I could do.

I ordered a new set of acrs from a site vendor over thanksgiving and they came today. I will say changing out the acrs was a bit of a pain but not one of the worst jobs I've done.

This video pretty much sums it up

Did you have to buy a special tool to get the compression releases out?
Were you able to do the job with the motor installed or did you have to pull it?

Glad you fixed it. You are the second person I know with a S&S V111 engine that had compression release problems. In fact, my friend pulled the S&S engine out and went back to a stock Evo engine. The releases were coming loose and you need a special tool to replace them.

How many miles do you have on your engine, and have you had any other issues?

i picked up the special tool used for forty bucks I did not have to remove the engine and only had to take the exhaust side gas tank off.

the only other problem I had with it is that the motor did not like the dual fire ignition I was running and it kept intermittently stalling fixed this with a single fire electronic ignition. I have a thousand miles on her right now
