Default to cure the click...

Disconnect the wire from terminal 87 on the old relay (this is the wire that goes to the starter solenoid).

Connect this wire to terminal 87 on the new relay (you might consider making a new wire up for this connection).

Leave the remaining wires connected to the old relay.

Make up some jumper wires with 14AWG wire, using the proper terminals.

Connect terminal 85 (new relay) to ground.

Connect terminal 86 (new relay) to terminal 87 (old relay).

Connect terminal 30 (new relay) to the silver post of the main breaker, use a fused wire for this connection (15amp is fine).

This will provide a nice big fat supply of 12 volts to the starter solenoid (with very little voltage drop) and should end the problem of the so called “Dreaded Click”.
