How can you not avoid it.. The jacks are at least 15 inches wide and the shocks are within 13 inches of the jiffy stand.. I don't get it.. are you using cradles on the frame then?

Just using the jack as I bought it no cradles or anything else.
I put one leg behind the shock barrels and the other infront.
The Heritage doesn't have a problem but the FXSTC gets a bit front heavy.
In either case I brace the front wheel.
That said I have a friend of mine with an '03 thunder mountain softail wanna be that I have to put another jack under the front wheel or it will never leave the ground.
I was having the same feeling with the hard jarring when hitting a pebble in the road. The Progressive shocks were the ticket. Bike rides like a dream now.
