I have my swingarm apart to replace the cleve blocks with a sta bo kit. I seem to be missing two parts. There are supposed to be a pair of spacers in there (47510-80). I don't have them. My dealer says theyre obsolete. Do I need them with the sta bo parts?
The instructions that came with the kit aren't very clear. I put it together the way one drawing sort of looks. Time will tell!
That can be a problem with some aftermarket products. However we can't help much if you don't help us to help! Take very great care when taking your first ride....

ive been around the block on it. Seems ok. This is the sheet that came with the kit. It looks to me like all the oem stuff gets left out.
Those are pretty basic instructions, to say the least! It would certainly seem that the spacers you mention are not required. I have a True-Track kit in my 1990 Glide and that also has just a single large bushing each side, in a similar style.
I put bearings in mine, too many years ago to remember what brand. For whatever reason I didn't re-use my nylon washers either. New ones weren't included and one of the old ones (which I'd replaced years earlier) was shot, OEM was obsolete and it was go time.... I noticed the V-Twin version (44-0941) of the bearing kits do come with the nylon washers and new rubber stabilizers (I threw away the new rubbers in my kit and used OEM).
I've wondered for years about the nylon kits. Seems the axle has to swivel on the inner steel bushing, all good I reckon. But I wonder about the other pieces pieces in those kits. Do they replace the rubber isolators? And what's with the PVC pipe requirement? Not doing one anytime soon - just curious..
