Before and After 1990 FLHS
I've been posting over the past months about changing a 90 FLHS to Road King style. I bought this bike 3 years and over 20,000 miles ago. All work done by me except paint on tank and R side cover and some welding. Thanks to all here who provided help. It was a much more involved project than anticipated. Twisted Cherry professional paint job next year after riding the bugs out. Motor at some time in the future. Swing arm rebuild next year. Bat wing fairing on RK QD windshield mount this summer. Thanks to Paul at GOSLO for parts and advice.
Here's the result after the following mods:
-Race tech springs and front end rebuild with removal of stock air system
-Polished lower legs
-Some chrome
-Ev-13
-Fueling lifters
-New CV carb and CV Performance needle
-Arlen Ness Big Sucker
-OEM dual exhaust
-Road King nacelle, upper triple tree, carburetor gas tank, dash
-New primary chain, +1 clutch plate set and compensator
-Wiring harness fabricated using new Duetsch connectors
-Dakota Digital speedometer with cable drive to electronic converter
-97-07 RK seat with seat and frame mods to fit
-Side latch bags with bag guard eliminators
-Removal of FLHS tour pack mount
-Battery under seat with Anti Gravity battery
-HD quick release sissy bar mount and HD sissy bar
-Newer HD air shocks to upgrade later
-License plate under tail light
-RK front and back fender trim
-Willie G front fender skirt
-RK driving light mount
-Later model QD setup for wildshield
-Rattle can paint for all but tank, R side cover and bags from ebay
-Various other work
-Lots of aggravation and frustration

Have a lot respect for someone bringing a bike back from the dead because it's by far the roughest path of owning a Harley but more rewarding when done. Dedication at it's finest, nice!
