I am thinking about keeping it, but it is hard to ignore that ebay auction that is already at $9900, with 8 days to go.

Another vote to keep if possible in any way..it's just too nice!!....but, that bike will fetch PREMIUM dollars at an auction or for sale straight up! All original with the tour pack and bags NICE!!! From those pics the bike literally looks like new! I wish i could buy it!

Thank you for the feedback. I am getting a bit concerned about keeping it because I know I will ride it. Then I need to consider theft or any kind of damage to the rare parts because insurance will only cover the book value. I am thinking the auction may be the best / easiest way to go especially since the value of winged unicorns is so hard to predict.

I very much appreciate the input and help, but I made the decision to let it go. I posted my FXRD on Ebay a little bit ago. Please pass the word along to anyone you think may be interested.

I'm very interested in a 1986 FXRD. I'm sure you've sold yours by now but if not, let me know. Also, let me know if you know of or hear of another FXRD for sale. Thanks.
