1985 FLHTC rear brakes

Default 1985 FLHTC rear brakes
Had the rear brake lock up on me..while looking up parts I noticed that the there are 2 springs on the caliper pins..(currently missing and not available)

has anyone replaced these springs. or is there another fix to do away with them...

I'm going to guess they are in part to separate the pads, also to help centralise the free-floating caliper. Shouldn't be beyond the wit of man to come up with an alternative pair of springs. Bound to be someone somewhere who knows!

your neighborhood hardware store has all kins of springs. I would start there.

was looking for part number 44043-80. the springs that are between the brake shoes...

those are the wave washers which I have 1 of,,,still need them though

this is what found for my rear brake flex line, gotta love the PO of this bike.

If you can't get it hard line it
