1992 FXRP, stock with a big sucker air cleaner. Replacing spark plugs today and on the left (Autolite AC 4265) came out. Replaced with the right (NGK BPR5ES-11). Both are listed for my model but physically and visually theres quite a difference. Any problem here or am I ok?. Thanks guys.
My thoughts, although the bike is supposed to run a 5 heat range plug, the 5 you have in the bike is burnt to hell, and would try to run a cooler 6 heat range plug or at least tune it with the big sucker in play, so it not running so lean or to much pre ignition to cause the plug problem in the first place.
There is a conflict of your referenced NGK part numbers, you say BPR, but pic shows BKR...
Good eyes Dan!
And no offense intended but the chart in post 3 should be watermarked "Circa 1969" or something. It's all over the net but the plugs are obviously from a water cooled engine running leaded fuel and has little relevance to todays engines.
